Film Binder BFP

Film binder is a composition based on phenol-formaldehyde resin and polyvinyl butyral. Film binder grade BFP, which is an adhesive film applied to a silicone-coated paper backing, is intended for application onto technical fabrics by calendering to produce prepregs.

The film binder is supplied in rolls. The film thickness, width, and length per roll correspond to the values specified in the table.

Adhesive film of yellow or light brown color, transparent or slightly matte, without foreign inclusions or contaminants.

5. Shear strength, g/m²:
  • at 20°C – 14.7 (150)
at 60°C – 7.4 (75)

Main purpose and application

  • Military industry: bonding reinforcing layers.
