Adhesive VK-27 is a cold-curing composition including epoxy resin, low-molecular-weight polyamide resins, butadiene-nitrile rubber, aminoethoxysilanes with mineral fillers, supplied as two components.
Adhesive VK-27 without filler is the same composition but without the filler.
Adhesive VK-27SM is a cold-curing composition including epoxy resin, low-molecular-weight polyamide resins, butadiene-nitrile rubber, aminoethoxysilanes, mineral filler (asbestos and glass microspheres).
Adhesive VK-27A is a composition including epoxy resin, low-molecular-weight polyamide resins, butadiene-nitrile rubber and aminoethoxysilanes. VKV-27 adhesive is supplied as a four-component set.
Modifications of VK-27:
  • VK-27SM: optimized for improved adhesion to composites.
  • VK-27A: enhanced heat resistance.
  • VKV-27: foaming adhesive for honeycomb fillers in aircraft structures (e.g. bonding aluminum foil AMg2N with D16AT alloy frames).

Main purpose and application

VK-27 adhesive is intended for bonding riveted-adhesive and adhesive joints in structures made of aluminum and titanium alloys, steels, and composite materials (glass, organic, and carbon plastics) based on epoxy-phenolic, epoxy-polyurethane, polyamide binders, operating in the temperature range from -60°C to +80°C continuously, at 180°C to 250°C – up to 30 min.
VK-27SM adhesive is intended for adhesive and adhesive-bolt joints in structures made of steels, aluminum and titanium alloys, and non-metallic materials operating in the range from -60°C to +80°C continuously (at 80°C – 1000 h).
VK-27A adhesive, reinforced with nonwoven material, is designed for bonding aluminum and titanium alloys, steels, and composites (glass, organic, carbon plastics) based on epoxy-phenolic, epoxy-polyurethane, polyamide binders, operating from -60°C to +80°C continuously (at 80°C – 1000 h, at 180°C – up to 0.5 h).
VKV-27 adhesive is intended for bonding honeycomb filler made of Amg2N foil (perforated or non-perforated) to itself and to closing elements of frames made of aluminum alloys in honeycomb structures. Recommended for use in the range from -60°C to +80°C.
Aviation:
- Bonding riveted-adhesive joints in structures made of aluminum (D16AT), titanium alloys, steels.
- Repair of vibration-exposed elements (spars, panels).
Composite materials:
- Bonding glass, organic, carbon plastics based on epoxy-phenolic or polyurethane binders.
Special use VKV-27:
- Assembly of honeycomb fillers made of perforated aluminum foil.
