Binder VFT

Binder VFT is an epoxy binder, a solution of bakelite varnish and resin with tetraethoxysilane additive in a solvent mixture, developed for the production of fiberglass laminates (e.g. VFT-S) and other composite materials. It combines high heat resistance, chemical stability, and adhesion to fiberglass, making it in demand in aerospace, electrical engineering, and industry.

Main purpose and application

Binder VFT is intended for impregnation of glass fabric used for the production of fiberglass laminate and fiberglass products. It is used in aircraft construction, mechanical engineering, and other industries requiring heat-resistant and chemically resistant joints.

Main application areas:
Production of fiberglass laminate VFT-S:
  • Used for manufacturing heat-resistant parts in aviation (skin, insulators) and electrical engineering (printed circuit boards). Characteristics of VFT-S: flexural strength up to 350 MPa, water absorption ≤1.5%.
Special coatings:
  • Anti-corrosion protection of metals.
  • Thermal insulation panels.
